The GM1/GSM expandable safety relay is designed to safely monitor the MLG-Series range of light guards. The modular design means 20+ light guards can be installed on a single system, achieving CAT4, SIL3, PL-e.
The GM1 is non-programmable, meaning it is ready to use straight out of the box. Using the latest design methods, the GM1 is packed with diagnostics features including individual safety input monitoring, which will alert the user which channel is faulty (traditional safety relays will just go into fault mode, leaving it up to the user to diagnose the fault manually).
The new ‘compact’ design integrates seamlessly into new and existing panels, making the GM1 a great option for improving safety without the need for programming.
The GM1 master control unit supports one MLG-Series light curtain pair. To add additional light curtains, you will need to purchase a GSM extender module. This system can support a maximum of x1 GM1 and x20 GSM, which equates to a total of 21 MLG-Series light curtains pairs.
