The AS-i 3.0 PROFINET Gateway
Figure shows the AS-i 3.0 PROFINET Gateway and the AS-i 3.0 PROFINET Gateway with integrated Safety Monitor, Version "1 gateway, 1 power supply for 2 AS-i-networks". The new gateway consists of three components:
- the PROFINET slave. It transparently and directly exchanges data with the higher level network that can reach up to the plant management,
- the AS-Interface Masters of Bihl+Wiedemann
Each of these components is considered state-of-the-art techno-logy concerning their individual functions: - The PROFINET slave is based on the Ertec200 chip and offers: an integrated switch, all PROFINET speeds, the ability to communicate with every PROFINET slave.
- The AS-Interface Master as Single- or Dual Master is designed to the current specification 3.0 with the following characteristics typical for the Bihl+Wiedemann masters:
- two independent AS-Interface networks that can be powered by a single power supply,
- extended diagnostics (earth fault, duplicate address detection, noise detection),
- error counter for each slave
Of course Bihl+Wiedemann also offers PROFINET Gateways with integrated Safety Monitor
